Abstract:
Drug addiction is a serious threat to the health of individuals. Not only does this affect the life of the individual, it also creates many disadvantages and deficits for the family and society. Substance-dependent individuals are considered socially vulnerable. Unfortunately, addiction recurrence has many effects on the individual, society, and family. An individual who returns toward the substance after withdrawal will feel guilty, frustrated, embarrassed, and angry. There are various factors involved in non-recurrence of substance use one of which is having job skills. In fact, job factors not only predispose individuals to addiction but also contribute to recurrence and non-recurrence of substance use. Obviously, individuals who have improved from addiction and have a job skill and find a suitable job based on the skills that they feel in themselves, will not show any tendency to recurrence to addiction. If one can create jobs for substance-dependent individuals withdrawn from addiction according to their job skills, it will not only prevent their recurrence but also will pave the way to empower and return to the family and community. Therefore, given the importance of job in preventing recurrence of substance use, preventing addiction in work environments should also be regarded as a belief and a necessity for all officials and executive agents. This study has discussed the importance of job skills in withdrawn individuals and has focused on the issue that job skills are among the key factors in non-recurrence of substance-dependence individuals to substance use.
